Lucky Number Seven
This painting is called 'Lucky Number Seven' and is currently at the Canal Street Gallery. It's part of an big, old clock that I love because of the beautiful gnarly bits and chips that show its age. It's 22"x30". SOLD

Tree Light 2
This is the second Tree Light piece that could be a dyptich with the piece below or stand alone. They are both 37" x 27" matted and framed.
Tree Light I
Remember the day it snowed? I know it's hard to remember a day like that now that it is May and 90 degrees. However, I painted these trees that day because I loved the way the light was coming through them. I will post the second piece which is meant to be the second part of a dyptich although the pieces stand alone.

Sweet Stripes
(Click here to buy this painting.)
This is a version of a perfect zebra of the imagination; soft looking with great red stripes. I might try a monkey next. This piece is 12" x 16" and then matted and framed.

Giraffey
(Click here to buy this painting)
I must be thinking about grandchildren. Not that I want any right this minute! I also had a dream about a friend's teenagers who melted down in the dream into very small versions of themselves. Maybe I'm just reviewing my kids' lives, going backwards... At any rate, I am very interested in zoo animals and their faces in unusual, childlike colors. Yippee, Giraffey!
Watercolor is 12" x 16"

The Clara Farm
I have been out of touch with blogging for awhile. Life interferes...not with painting but with extra things like posting paintings. I painted The Clara Farm because I love it and I spent some time there this holiday. It's in Gadsden County, Florida. It's actually my husband's family farm. My daughter wants this painting so it's not for sale but I plan to make some more. The light inside those woods is special, I think. The painting is12" by 16".

The VAAASE
(Click here to buy this painting.)
It feels like I have been painting this vase for most of my natural life! I don't mean painting it many times, I mean painting this particular painting for a looong time. I do like the vase. I think I got it as a wedding present many years ago.
Some paintings come together easily and some just take some thinking time. I finally figured out that the background needed to have a pretty dark value to connect the top and the bottom darks of the painting and to direct your eye to the vase which is what I want you to see. This painting is 18" x 24" unframed.
